Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Sarah Whitfield (BVSc MRCVS) is a veterinary surgeon in small-animal practice with a particular soft spot for feline medicine. She’s the vet who reads Cats Guide before it goes out.

She makes sure the way the site handles cat health, illness, nutrition, behaviour, and senior care matches current veterinary thinking, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), the Cornell Feline Health Center, and International Cat Care.

What she’s checking is accuracy, not your particular cat. This isn’t personal veterinary advice and sets up no vet-client relationship; if something worries you, your own vet can examine your cat and already knows its history.
